The Show must Go ON....
The Digital Revolution in Education is here and it is there to Stay. The age-old systems of curriculum content, conduct and evaluation have been forced to change, ending the archaic modes and bringing on the opportunity for ‘open learning’. In today’s era of digitization and a connected world. Only time lag is the geographical latitude, we all are sharing the planet in real time. To survive this competitive environment the Institutions must be geared with robust infrastructure and ability to connect with the real world by remaining updated.
The rules of teaching learning are changing, no longer teachers are the sole carriers of information and knowledge. The changing role of Teachers today is more as facilitators that navigate the paths to learning, a variety of platforms are available to seek authentic information open for interpretation, cross references and generating ordered knowledge and World View. The learner gains the choice using intellect, area of interest and has the freedom of exploration.
The visual media is very strong today and is the direction for advanced learning. The biggest advantage of open portal learning is it does not judge the learner, it does not ask for pre-qualifications nor ridicules for not knowing, it lets a learner be the gainer in every sense. The Education Institutions equipped with State of the Art Infrastructure are best placed to take the challenge of inculcating virtues of lifelong learning through robust planning and mentorship.
