HSC in Science Stream, with 50% Aggregate and 50% Aggregate in PCM.

In the five years course of Architecture, planning and design of spaces at various levels such as indoor and outdoor spaces of buildings and public spaces is taught with functional, social, technical, economic, environmental as well as aesthetically sensitive approach.

Scope of Urban Planner
Urban Planner’s scope ranges between policy making, policy decision and policy implementation in overall process of urban development.
Planning is a process and comprehensive exercise also with strategic approach. In this exercise tangible and intangible aspects of the area/ city/ region need to be studied.  These aspects are comprehended by data collection from various sources, qualitative and quantitative analysis, extracting inferences, setting vision and planning parameters etc. This leads to prepare a planning proposal.  




Urban Planner is a master person in Planning exercise bears wide knowledge, technical skills and sensitive attitude towards society and environment. Planner co-ordinates with various experts and stake holders such as Architects, Urban Designers, Landscape Architects, Engineers, Lawyers, Economists, Sociologists, environmentalists etc.

Job opportunities for Urban Planner are in private as well as in Public Sector. He/ she may work as a Planner in Urban Local Body (ULB), Regional Development Authority, State Government, Central Government...
AMRUT, Smart Cities, Pradhanmanti Awas Yojna, National Urban Livelihood Mission, HRIDAY, Swachchha Bharat Mission are Government of India’s ongoing schemes in context of urban development. Planners’ visionary outlook and methodical approach help to achieve success the projects under these schemes.

In private sector he may work as planning consultant in various corporate organizations such as Consultancy Firms, developer’s office, Financial Organizations, Contractors, MNCs, NGOs etc.
