Interior Design field
Interior Design addresses the importance of human habitat and the built environment that supports human activities and values. It generates order in the space occupied by people, by making one aware of how the space influences our identity, productivity and wellness. As an interior designer one has the vital task to create intentional spatial interactions that can have a positive effect on human beings in whichever space they may inhabit - working, living or recreational.


B.Voc interior Design Course Highlights
It is a 3 years full time degree course in Interior Design.It is a skill development based program recognised by UGC and University of Mumbai. It focuses on Employability and  Entrepreneurship developed on the lines  of NSQF (National Skill quality  framework) of the Govt. of India.

B.Voc Interior Design at TSAP

Eligibility for B.Voc Interior Design
The eligibility of the student for joining the first year of this course shall be-
A.        HSC passed from any stream (Science / Commerce / Arts) or equivalent
and an entrance exam conducted by the institute.
OR
B.        S.S.C + two years full time Diploma or three years part time Govt. Diploma and entrance examconducted by the institute.

Admission is given as per merit, only to those candidates who meet the eligibility criteria and secure a non-zero positive score in the entrance exam.
51% seats will be admitted through the Linguistic Minority reserved quota.
Entrance Exam for B.Voc (Interior Design)
The course has an Entrance Exam of 200 marks, conducted by the institute as per the guidelines given by the University of Mumbai.
The exam measures the aptitude of the applicant for the specific field of study, i.e. Interior Design. The attributes important to the field such as drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion and scale, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking ability as well as originality of the candidate are gaged through this test.
Section 1 – Aesthetic Sensitivity / General Aptitude (100 Marks) 
This section contains Multiple-Choice Questions. The questions include subjects like Interior Design, Art / Architecture based upon: Logical Reasoning, Visual Analysis and General Aptitude. There is no negative marking for the exam.

Section 2 - Drawing Test (100 Marks)
This is a Paper based test, which judges the drawing aptitude of the candidate, on the following aspects:
      Ability to sketch proportionately and render the same in a visually appealing manner.
      Visualising and drawing the effects of light on the object and shadows cast on surroundings.
      Sense of perspective drawing.
      Combining and composing given three dimensional elements to form a building or structural form.
       Creating interesting two dimensional composition using given shapes and forms.
      Creating visual harmony using colours in given composition.
       Understanding of scale and proportions.
       Drawing from memory through pencil sketches on themes from day to day experiences.
The primary emphasis in scoring the aptitude test is on the candidate's drawing, imagination and observation skills. The candidate's sense of proportion and perspective are also evaluated together with sense for colour and composition.

The admissions are granted to the students based on the merit of marks obtained in the entrance exam, which needs to be secured by submitting requisite documents & paying full fees to the institute.
